FAQ

Q. Where are you located?

A. 594 S 400 E River Heights, UT 84321

Q. What is a natural light studio?

A. Natural light studios use the available light from large windows/doors to provide the main source of light. The studio doesn’t offer lighting equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own. Our studio is equipped with overhead lighting that can be adjusted with dimmers in the main shooting area. They are LED daylight bulbs at 5,000 kelvin if you find you need just a little more light during your session. Remember no lighting is guaranteed.

Q. How much does it cost to rent the studio?

A. You can find a list of pricing options under the RENT tab. There is a drop down menu and click on RATES!

Q. What time is best to photograph in studio?

A. Mid-day tends to have the most ambient/even light in both shooting areas. For more moody lighting, early morning or evening will provide the shadows/grids you may be looking for.

Q. How large is the studio?

A.┬áThere are two main areas to shoot in, the front room and the “garage”. Combined they are just over 850 sq ft!

Q. Can I use the furniture?

A. YES! Please feel free to use/move the furniture to accommodate the look and type of session you are doing. We only ask that you pick up each piece instead of dragging it along the floor. Also, please no shoes, pets or naked babies on the white bedding/bed. If you feel you might want to do any of those during your session, please bring your own bedding and use caution to avoid holes in the air mattress.

Q. Where can I park?

A. You are welcome to park up to 6 cars anywhere that is concrete. Please don’t block sidewalk access. For additional parking we suggest parking on 600 South. Please be considerate of our neighbors and don’t block their driveways or mailboxes. Thank you.

Q. Are styled shoots/events allowed?

A. Yes! There are additional fees associated with doing these. Please contact us for more information.

Q. What is an additional photographer fee?

A. It is a $20 fee for each additional photographer/videographer after the first one. This fee should be paid at the time of booking, but if other arrangements are made after a request has been submitted this fee will be charged the day of your rental.

Q. Do you offer lease options for full/part time photographers?

A. Yes we do and we would be happy to send over that information! We have a few options to choose from that can accommodate your schedule with booking full/part time hours with the studio.
